Green Cuisine's additional step to offer Climate Wave Coffee Solution 8.1

Climate Wave Coffee Solution 8.1 is to discourage disposables culture and offer incentives to dine-in and BYOM culture.

Green Cuisine has long been a leader in promoting sustainability. As part of their membership in our Climate-Positive Café Collective, Green Cuisine has consistently taken additional steps to reduce disposable waste. Their partnership with Nulla, a local reusable cup program, was one of their first initiatives in this effort, marking an early and important step toward sustainability.

Building on this foundation, Green Cuisine is now taking an additional step by participating in the Reuse Stamp Card Contest organized by the City of Victoria. This contest aligns with Climate Wave Coffee Solution 8.1, which focuses on encouraging a BYOM (Bring Your Own Mug) culture and supporting dine-in incentives.

How it works:

  1. Pick up your stamp card at City Hall, Green Cuisine, or any of the participating cafés.

  2. Bring your own mug to get your coffee and receive a stamp!

  3. Collect five stamps on your card.

  4. Submit a photo of your completed stamp card, with five 'Zero Waste' stamps, to zerowaste@victoria.ca by October 20, 2024, for a chance to win one of five prizes from the City of Victoria.

Through this contest, Green Cuisine is continuing its commitment to sustainability and waste reduction, reinforcing their ongoing collaboration with Climate Wave Coffee to create positive environmental change.

Join Green Cuisine and the City of Victoria in taking action to reduce waste! Pick up your stamp card today and start collecting your stamps—it’s an easy way to make a positive impact, enjoy great coffee, and potentially win a prize. Let’s work together to create a more sustainable future, one cup at a time!
