ASIKANA

Asikana is an organic farm located in western Ethiopia at an altitude of 1500 to 1700 meters above sea level. the farm also supports more than 500 farmers and their families in the surrounding communities. Asikana protects biodiversity through natural farming practices and by growing coffee beneath a diverse canopy of shade trees. In addition, local farmers can learn organic agricultural techniques from Asikana to help maximize their success. Along with coffee, the farming community diversify their revenue streams by producing sesame, chili peppers, beans, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, red onions, and a variety of other vegetables.
