Café Justicia is more than just organic, fair trade coffee—it’s a model of solidarity trade that empowers Mayan farming cooperatives in Guatemala. Grown on the volcanic slopes of Lake Atitlán, this coffee supports the Campesino Committee of the Highlands (CCDA) in its fight for social justice. Farmers retain full control over pricing, distribution, and marketing, while sales fund community development and broader social justice efforts. Imported by Café Justicia, all profits are returned to the CCDA and other initiatives in Guatemala. Café Justicia is also a nationwide network advocating for fair and equitable trade.
Thanks to Steve and the volunteers of Café Justicia for organizing a presentation in Victoria—I’m glad I attended. Their work in Guatemala, supporting the CCDA and its mission “to defend the rights of workers on large coffee, sugar, and cotton plantations, to recover lands taken from Mayan communities over the past centuries, and to promote and recover Mayan culture and spirituality,” deepened my understanding of coffee as a superpower in addressing social and environmental injustices.
Today, we use terms like natural farming, permaculture, and biodiversity-rich farming, but for the Mayan farmers who produce this coffee, these aren’t concepts—they’re simply a way of life. Sustainability isn’t a choice; it’s their tradition. That’s why this coffee is naturally delicious, infused with love, positivity, and a higher vibration.
By choosing this coffee, you are using your superpower to fight the social and environmental injustices that humanity faces today. Every purchase supports indigenous farmers, strengthens communities, and helps protect biodiversity-rich ecosystems. This is more than just coffee—it’s a movement powered by conscious choices and collective action.
